This document sets out the privacy policy for the website khersonrights.org (hereinafter referred to as the ‘website’) of the non-governmental organisation ‘Kherson House of Human Rights’ (hereinafter referred to as ‘KHHR’). This document explains what types of information may be collected and stored on the organisation’s official website, as well as how such information may be used and disclosed.
1. What information does our organisation collect?
1.1. When you visit our website, write to us, make a charitable donation, fill in a volunteer form or register for an event, our organisation collects both personal and general data about you. 1.2. Personal data refers to information or a set of information about an individual who is identified or can be specifically identified. Personal data relates to an individual — name, address, telephone number, email address. The KHHR obtains such data only from individuals who provide it knowingly and of their own free will. 1.3. Visitors’ personal data is used for the purpose of facilitating the exchange of information, in accordance with the Laws of Ukraine ‘On the Protection of Personal Data’, ‘On Information’, ‘On Telecommunications’, ‘On Entrepreneurship’, ‘On the Protection of Information in Information and Telecommunications Systems’, ND TZI 2.5-010-03 ‘Requirements for the Protection of Website Information from Unauthorised Access’ and others. 1.4. General data is anonymised information collected by the website when users visit it. 1.5. If you do not agree with any of the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not provide any personal data. 1.6. You may withdraw your consent to the use of your personal information at any time. 2. Why do we process personal data?
2.1. We may process your personal data for the following purposes, and one or more of these purposes may apply at the same time:●granting you the status of a volunteer/intern with our organisation. We may use your personal data to contact you if you have completed a volunteer form, and to involve you in our activities, inform you of news from the volunteer community, etc.; ●communicating with you. Our organisation may use your personal data to contact you, inform you of events, or send you notifications regarding actions you have previously taken on the website; ●thanking you for your charitable donation and informing you of the purposes for which your funds have been spent. 2.2. This policy supplements and is used in conjunction with the regulations, policies and instructions in force at the NGO “Kherson House of Human Rights”, and complies with the current legislation of Ukraine. 2.3. The Kherson Human Rights House has the right to retain personal data for the duration of our cooperation, or for the periods established by the current legislation of Ukraine, or until you delete this data.
3. How and what information we collect
3.1. In accordance with the legislation referred to in section 1.3 of this Policy, you consent to the collection, processing and use of the personal data you provide to the NGO ‘Kherson House of Human Rights’ by: ●completing and submitting a contact form ●making charitable donations via the website ●completing a volunteer form ●registering via the form for an online/offline event. 3.2. Personal data is received directly from you and with your knowledge in the following cases: ●when you contact us or fill in the volunteer form, we store your email address or telephone number so that we can contact you; ●when you make a charitable donation, we store your first name, surname and email address so that we can thank you for your support and assistance; ●when you send us an email, we store the email address you provide so that we can reply; ●when you register for an online/offline event by completing a registration form, we store your surname, first name, telephone number and email address so that we can contact you. 3.3. We also continuously collect general data when you visit our website. This data is collected using cookie technology. 3.3.1. Cookies are small pieces of data that a website sends to a user’s hard drive to store information related to the website. This technology enhances your online experience by saving your preferences when you visit a particular site. Cookie technology does not contain personal information and cannot in any way configure your system or read information from your hard drive. When you visit our website, cookies may be placed on your computer. These temporary cookies are used to count the number of visits to our website. They are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be stored on your computer by your browser. When you register, this type of cookie indicates whether you are visiting us for the first time or have visited our website before. 3.3.2. In addition, cookies are used to make the website safe, secure and user-friendly. Cookies support security features and ensure they function correctly. Cookies also enable us to detect breaches of this Privacy Policy by visitors or devices. 3.6. Cookies help to assess the number and frequency of requests, as well as to identify and block visitors or devices attempting to perform bulk downloads of information from the website. 3.7. When you visit the website, the following general data is automatically collected and aggregated with similar data from other users: ●the domain name or IP address of the visitor’s computer; ●date of access; ●files (file name and URL); ●HTTP response code and the website from which the user accessed the website;●number of bytes transferred during the session. 3.8. Google Analytics is used to collect statistics on website visits, such as: pages visited; number of page views; information downloaded; internet service provider domains and the visitor’s country of origin, etc. 3.9. None of these general data collection activities are linked to an individual user and are measured only in aggregate.
4. Disclosure and transfer of data.
4.1. Personal information relating to individuals who have logged in to the website may only be disclosed by us to law enforcement agencies in the event of a lawful request from them – pursuant to a court order or decision, or as part of other lawful procedures, in accordance with the applicable legislation of Ukraine.
5. Data protection.
5.1. KHHR takes the necessary and sufficient legal, organisational and technical measures to protect the information provided by users of the website from unlawful acts by third parties, such as unauthorised or accidental access, destruction, alteration, blocking, copying, distribution and others. At the same time, despite all efforts, the KHHR cannot guarantee absolute protection against any threats arising beyond the KHHR’s control.
6. Use of website data by users.
6.1. All rights to the content of the website are owned by KHHR. This website as a whole and its individual elements are protected by the Law of Ukraine ‘On Copyright and Related Rights’, other applicable Ukrainian legislation, and international treaties.6.2. Users of the website must not distribute, modify, transmit or reuse any information from the website for commercial purposes without the written permission of the KHHR. 6.3. Users of the website must respect all copyright and may only reproduce information on other resources by providing an active hyperlink to the website. Copying information from the website is permitted for non-commercial purposes for posting on the personal pages of website users, on blogs, social media, etc. 6.4. When using the website, the user is not granted any intellectual property rights to the website itself, its content, or the use of any branding elements or logos of the website. 6.5. By using this website, you automatically agree to this Privacy Policy and its terms. If you do not agree to this Policy, you must leave this site and refrain from using it.
7. Updates to the Privacy Policy.
7.1. KHHR may unilaterally amend or update parts of this Policy at any time, without prior notice.
7.2. All amendments to this Privacy Policy come into effect upon their publication on the website khersonrights.org.
7.3. When you make a donation, take part in a campaign, survey or otherwise interact with us, you agree to the new terms of the Privacy Policy as currently in force.
7.4. If any part of this Privacy Policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts shall remain in full force and effect.
