The Kherson House of Human Rights announces a mini-grant competition for human rights initiatives.
The purpose of the competition is to provide financial support to civil society organizations for the implementation of human rights initiatives.

Who can submit a project application?

CSOs are invited to participate in the competition, namely: charitable organizations and public associations that are registered as legal entities in Ukraine and included in the register of non-profit institutions and organizations.

Grants cannot be issued to organizations that, at the time of signing the grant agreement, are registered (have a legal address) in the territory designated as temporarily occupied (in the list of settlements on the territory of which the state authorities of Ukraine temporarily do not exercise their powers, as well as settlements located on the demarcation line).
Project activity may involve, but not be limited to:

- conducting educational and awareness-raising activities on the subject of human rights;
- adaptation and implementation of author's methodical materials, educational programs, manuals or other educational tools;
- development and implementation of measures, programs on civic education in the field of equality of rights and prevention of discrimination;
- conducting open lectures, public discussions on the topic of human rights, equality of rights and prevention of discrimination;
- organization of educational and awareness-raising activities in educational institutions, youth spaces;
- forming or strengthening local communities around the themes of human rights, democracy, non-discrimination and civic participation;
- legal aid for vulnerable groups;
- current scientific research in the field of human rights;
- other activities are closely related to the topic: "human rights";
- etc.

The project implementation period is – from 8 to 12 months (estimated project implementation start date is November 2026).
Inadmissible expenses:

Within the scope of this competition, grant funds cannot be used for:
- acquisition of land plots, real estate or vehicles;
- capital construction, reconstruction or overhaul of premises;
- acquisition of arms, ammunition or dual-use goods;
- repayment of debts, credits, fines, penalties or other financial obligations;
- formation of reserves or coverage of exchange rate differences;
- political or religious activity;
- activities not directly related to the implementation of the project;
- expenses incurred before the signing of the grant agreement or after its expiration;
- expenditure already financed by other donors (double funding).

How to submit a project application?

To participate in the competition, it is necessary to send the project application and the budget in an arbitrary form.

The application deadline is — on August 20, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.

List of necessary applications, except for the completed project application form (Word format) and budget (Excel format):

- copy of the organization's charter;
- a copy of the state registration certificate or an extract/extract from the Unified State Register;
- a copy of an extract from the Register of non-profit institutions and organizations;
- summary of the personnel who are planned to be involved in the implementation of the project.

Attention! The organization will not notify applicants whose proposals have not been selected about the rejection of their application. The organization reserves the right to prematurely terminate the competition or not to select any of the submitted project applications by the Applicants.
